SimplyDose LLC ("SimplyDose," "we," or "us") provides an iOS app that helps people organize records related to their GLP-1 routine. This Privacy Policy explains what information SimplyDose processes, why we process it, the service providers involved, and the controls available to you.
SimplyDose is a tracking and organization tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
This policy applies to the SimplyDose iOS app and SimplyDose-operated website pages that link to it, including product, support, privacy-control, and legal pages.
| Surface | How it works |
|---|---|
| iOS app | An account is required. Email authentication is handled by Supabase and can use an emailed sign-in link or a 6-digit one-time code. Account and tracking records are associated with an internal account ID. |
| Website | Public product, support, privacy-control, and legal pages can be viewed without a SimplyDose account. If you email support, we receive the information you include in that message. |
Supabase provides account authentication and database services. Resend delivers authentication emails and may process the destination email address, message content, and delivery or abuse-prevention records needed to send those messages.
If you use SimplyDose's tracking features, we process the information you choose to enter or save, including:
These records are associated with your account and stored in Supabase so SimplyDose can provide the tracking, history, reminder, and summary features you request.
SimplyDose also stores limited information locally on your device, including preferences, consent and onboarding state, cached insights, widget snapshots derived from your records, and Visit Summary PDFs you generate. Generated Visit Summary PDFs remain on the device until you delete them, they are removed under the app's retention limit, or you sign out, clear tracking history, or delete the account. When you choose to share a summary or image through iOS, the recipient or service you select receives that file under its own privacy practices.
Apple Health access is optional and limited to read access for body weight. SimplyDose does not request write access to Apple Health.
SimplyDose reads the latest available body-weight sample when you choose Sync from Apple Health. When you first enable Apple Health sync, the app may also check whether a sample is available so it can explain if access is denied or no sample exists; that check does not save the value. A weight is sent to your SimplyDose account in Supabase only if you save the prefilled progress entry.
SimplyDose does not use Apple Health-derived weight for advertising, marketing, or analytics. The weight value is used only to provide the tracking functionality you requested. We do not send the weight value to PostHog or RevenueCat. If analytics is enabled, a fixed product event can indicate that the Apple Health import action succeeded, but that event does not include the weight value or sample date.
You can change SimplyDose's Apple Health access in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Health. Removing Apple Health access stops future reads. It does not delete weight records you previously chose to save to your SimplyDose account.
Apple processes App Store payments. SimplyDose does not receive or store your payment-card details. RevenueCat provides subscription management and processes an internal account identifier, Apple's identifier for vendor (IDFV), and subscription information such as product, transaction, entitlement, renewal, and expiration state. SimplyDose uses this information to determine access to Premium features.
SimplyDose does not send health-entry values or free-text health notes to RevenueCat.
Analytics is off by default. After accepting the Terms and Privacy Policy, you can choose whether to enable it. When analytics is enabled, SimplyDose uses PostHog to understand product use, diagnose categorized errors, and improve app features. PostHog assigns an SDK-generated pseudonymous identifier to these events and does not receive your SimplyDose account ID.
SimplyDose-authored analytics events include fixed facts such as a screen opening, an onboarding step completing, a purchase flow result, a categorized error, or a record action succeeding. Some events can reveal that a health-related feature was used, such as saving a weight record or successfully importing a weight from Apple Health. The events do not include the weight, dose, medication, symptom, side-effect, note, email-address, or name values entered by the user.
When analytics is enabled, the PostHog SDK also processes product and technical context, including app lifecycle, app version, operating system, device model or type, a pseudonymous device-level identifier, and network information used to deliver the event. SimplyDose disables PostHog person profiles, surveys, rage clicks, session replay, automatic element interaction capture, and feature-flag preloading. SimplyDose does not use the pseudonymous identifier for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites. PostHog may derive general geographic information from network data according to the active PostHog project configuration.
SimplyDose does not use analytics events or health information for advertising or marketing, does not use them to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not sell them.
You can change your choice in the app by opening Profile > Privacy Settings and using the "Share product analytics" toggle. Turning off analytics stops new analytics events and removes unsent analytics events queued on this device. Requests already being sent and events already received by PostHog cannot be recalled or deleted by this toggle. You can contact support@simplydose.app about a privacy request.
SimplyDose and its service providers may process app version, device and operating-system information, authentication and security logs, and other limited technical information needed to operate and protect the service. Apple may make opt-in crash and performance reports available to developers under Apple's policies.
If you contact support, we process the contact information, message content, attachments, and follow-up records you provide. Please do not send information that is not needed to answer your request.
| Provider | Purpose and information |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication and database hosting for account, profile, consent, and user-saved tracking information. |
| Resend | Delivery of authentication emails, including the destination email address and delivery-related records. |
| PostHog | Pseudonymous product analytics and fixed error categories when analytics is enabled. SimplyDose does not send the SimplyDose account ID, health-entry values, or free-text health notes. |
| RevenueCat | Subscription and entitlement management using an internal account identifier, Apple's identifier for vendor, and purchase or subscription state. Health-entry values and free-text health notes are not sent. |
| Apple | App distribution and payments, optional crash and performance reporting, subscription management, and the optional Apple Health body-weight source on your device. |
These providers may retain operational, security, delivery, backup, transaction, tax, accounting, or legally required records under their own applicable policies and settings.
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Different categories and service providers can have different retention periods.
| Category | Retention and control |
|---|---|
| SimplyDose account and saved tracking records | Kept while the account or record is active. You can delete supported individual records, clear tracking history while keeping the account and profile, or request full account deletion in the app. |
| On-device files and widget data | Kept as described above and cleared through the applicable in-app controls, sign-out, or account deletion. |
| Analytics events | When analytics is enabled, events are retained according to the active PostHog project settings and applicable provider records. Turning analytics off stops future events but does not remove events already sent. |
| Subscription and transaction records | Retained by Apple, RevenueCat, and SimplyDose as needed to provide subscription access and meet applicable transaction, tax, accounting, security, or legal requirements. |
| Authentication email and security records | Retained by Supabase, Resend, and SimplyDose as needed for email delivery, authentication, abuse prevention, security, and applicable legal requirements. |
| Support communications | Kept as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and maintain appropriate business or legal records. |
When the app confirms full account deletion, it removes the account and SimplyDose-controlled health and tracking records from the primary Supabase database and then signs the user out. Account deletion does not automatically delete records independently retained by Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, Supabase backups or logs, Resend, or SimplyDose for the reasons described above. Contact support if you want help with a privacy request involving those records.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, including access, correction, deletion, or objection to certain processing. To submit a request, email support@simplydose.app. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account.
SimplyDose does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
SimplyDose is intended for adults age 18 and older. If we learn that information was collected from a person under 18, contact us so we can review and address it.
SimplyDose is a tracking and organization tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about medication, dosing, side effects, and health concerns. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency service.
We may update this policy. The current version and its last-updated date will be posted at https://simplydose.app/privacy.html. When the app requires acceptance of a materially revised policy, an authenticated user must review and accept the changed documents before continuing.
