We created SimplyDose to help people taking GLP-1 medications stay organized, track their progress, and feel more in control of their health journey.
Using SimplyDose involves entrusting us with certain information (and, in some cases, a small number of carefully selected service providers that help us run the app). We treat that responsibility with care.
This Privacy Policy explains:
We have also included a dedicated Health Data section below with additional details about how we handle sensitive health information.
This Privacy Policy applies to the SimplyDose iOS application. SimplyDose is currently available only as an iOS app on the United States Apple App Store. We do not currently offer an Android app, and we do not operate a marketing website beyond the page where this Privacy Policy is hosted.
| Platform | How it works |
|---|---|
| iOS App | Requires creating an account using a magic link sent to your email address (managed by Supabase). Your health entries and account data are stored in our Supabase database, associated with your account. |
Why? So you can sign in, save your data, and access your information across sessions.
If you choose to track your health in SimplyDose, we process the information you enter, such as:
Why? To provide SimplyDose's core features and help you stay organized.
Some areas of the app let you type free-text notes. Because you control what you type, please avoid entering information that personally identifies you or others in these fields.
SimplyDose is offered only in the United States. We process your information to provide the app you signed up for, to keep it secure and reliable, to comply with applicable laws, and to respond to lawful requests from regulators, courts, or law enforcement when required.
We (and our service providers) may automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and basic diagnostics — used to keep the app reliable and working properly.
If you subscribe to SimplyDose Premium, the payment itself is processed entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment card details. To know whether your account has an active subscription, we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, which processes your subscription status, the product you purchased, purchase and renewal dates, and an anonymized receipt identifier tied to your internal account ID. This information is used only to unlock Premium features and is never combined with your health data.
SimplyDose uses PostHog, a third-party product-analytics service, to understand how people use the app so we can fix problems and improve features. We built our analytics to be privacy-protective: we never send your health information to PostHog. Your weight, doses, medication names, side effects, symptom names, check-ins, and free-text notes are never included in analytics.
What PostHog does receive:
We use this information only to operate and improve SimplyDose. We do not use it for advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell it. PostHog acts as our service provider and processes this data on our behalf. You can read PostHog's own privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.
You are in control. Analytics is on by default, but you can turn it off at any time inside the app: open the Profile tab and tap Privacy Settings, then switch off "Share anonymous analytics." When analytics is turned off, the app stops sending usage events right away.
We keep analytics event data for up to 12 months, after which it is deleted. It is removed sooner if you opt out or delete your account. All analytics data is encrypted in transit.

This section supplements our main Privacy Policy and explains how we handle sensitive health information.
We store health data securely in Supabase, separately structured from any non-sensitive analytics or technical information. Your health entries are stored in our Supabase database and tied to your account and an internal user ID. We never send your health data to our analytics provider (PostHog).
Most health data comes directly from you, when you enter information in the app.
In addition, if you give permission, SimplyDose can read your body weight from Apple Health to automatically fill in your weight when you log your progress. This access is read-only — SimplyDose never writes to or changes any data in Apple Health. The weight you log is stored in your private SimplyDose account (in our Supabase database), not back in Apple Health. Apple Health access is optional, and you can turn it off at any time in the iOS Settings app (Privacy & Security → Health → SimplyDose) or from within SimplyDose.
We use health data to provide SimplyDose's core functionality, help you track your progress, improve app reliability and security, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use health data for targeted advertising. We do not sell health data. We do not include health data in analytics.
We share health data only in limited circumstances: with service providers necessary to operate the app, for support if you contact us, for legal requirements, and in corporate transactions with notice where required. We do not share health data for targeted advertising, and we do not send it to our analytics provider.
You have the right to access, export, delete, and withdraw consent for your health data. Most actions can be done directly in the app's Settings. Contact: support@simplydose.app
SimplyDose is a tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider about medications, dosing, side effects, and any health concerns.
